How do we get there?

Is there a check-in and check-out time?

Yes - Although we're sure you won't want to leave, we ask guests to vacate the house by 10am, and although you won't be able to wait to get here, we ask guests to arrive no earlier than 4.00pm. This allows us time to clean the house between guests.

Is there a broadband internet connection?

Yes - there is wireless broadband.

Is there mobile phone reception?

Vodafone, T-Mobile, O2, Orange, EE and 3 have good reception at the house most of the time. Mobiles don’t work in Inverie.

Can we bring our dog/s?

Dogs are welcome at the house - but not on the furniture and beds. There are chickens and other fowl that are free range so dogs need to be well behaved. Please bring pooh bags as these are not supplied.

Are there any board games?

We do have a selection of board games in the house, but cannot guarantee that all the pieces are there! I'm sure they will still fill a lazy afternoon or evening. There is a selection of books too.

Are there buckets and spades?

The same applies to buckets and spades. A varying amount of plastic beach implements appear and disappear - they change every week as some get broken and others get left behind. Bring your own if you want to guarantee having a sand castle building competition. There's usually a couple of fishing nets for the children too.

Are there wellies?

No, please bring your own wellies.

Is there wood for burning?

Yes - there are plenty of logs in the wood shed. Please help yourself as we don't charge for logs.

What about bedding and towels?

These are supplied for you free of charge and are super quality.

What transport is available to us when we're there?

You can use our vehicle to get to the house from Inverie and back. This is included in the rental.  We ask that you only travel on the road between the house and Inverie and drive with care and respect as the road to Camusblathan is single track with passing places. We also include enough fuel for another 2 or 3 trips back and forth to Inverie. We respectfully ask guests to refrain from going on the track beyond the house as well as tracks beyond Inverie village.

Is the vehicle insured for under 25’s?

No, only people over the age of 25 are insured to drive and only if they have fully comprehensive insurance on another vehicle.

Is there a TV or DVD player?

There is a TV at the house and an Amazon Firestick so you can sign into your account. If you don't have an Amazon account there are still loads of things you can watch.

Is there a radio or CD player?

Yes there is a blutooth speaker so you can play whatever you have on your phone.

Can we use the kayaks and boat?

We are NOT insured for you to use the kayaks and the boat. You are welcome to use them, but this is completely at your own risk. We cannot take any responsibility for you using the kayaks or the boat. We have a wide range of boyancy aids in the small shed. The kayaks are excellent quality, but the little white plastic rowing boat has NO BUOYANCY built into it and will therefore sink instantly if tipped up.

Where can we buy food on route?

If you want to stock up on route, you will find a large Morrisons in Fort William and next to this is a Lidl. Through Fort William on the Mallaig road is a Marks and Spencer food outlet and an Aldi. It's an hour's drive from Fort William to the ferry but its best to leave an extra 30 minutes to unload your stuff, park the car and return.
